SearchArtisans
Skilled tradespeople are the backbone of every home and business — yet finding verified, reliable ones remains one of Africa's most persistent frustrations. SearchArtisans solves this by bringing artisans and clients together on a trusted, ratings-driven platform.
The Problem We Solve
In Nigeria and across Africa, skilled artisans — electricians, plumbers, welders, tilers, painters, mechanics — are in high demand but nearly impossible to find reliably. Word-of-mouth referrals break down across cities. Unverified workers show up unprepared, overcharge, or simply do not return to finish jobs.
Meanwhile, talented artisans lack a professional platform to showcase their work, set fair rates, and build a reputation that travels beyond their immediate neighbourhood.
Our Marketplace Model
SearchArtisans creates a two-sided marketplace built on trust. Artisans create verified profiles with photos of completed work, certifications, and service areas. Clients post jobs or browse by trade and location. A structured booking flow, transparent pricing, and an escrow-based payment system protect both sides of every transaction.
Every completed job generates a verified review, building a reputation that artisans own and carry for life.
How It Works
Post Your Job or Search
Describe the work you need done, set your location, and browse nearby verified artisans by trade — or post a job and let qualified artisans bid for it.
Compare, Select & Book
Review profiles, previous work photos, verified client reviews, and quoted rates. Message artisans through the platform, confirm the scope, and confirm a booking with a protected deposit.
Work Done, Pay Safe
Funds are held in escrow until you confirm the job is complete to your satisfaction. Rate the artisan and your review is added to their permanent profile.
Trades We Cover
From essential home services to specialist industrial skills, SearchArtisans connects clients with trained tradespeople across a growing range of categories.
